What's Happening at Transition Dundee

March is shaping up to be a good month for us.

We love working in partnership with others, sharing ideas and learning from each other and this month we have teamed up with two great groups.

To celebrate Food Waste Action Week, running from 6th – 12th March, we will be running an event at the Community Fridge and are delighted to have received support from Zero Waste Scotland’s Love Food Hate Waste campaign.  Right up our street, of course!

Keep a lookout on our social media for more information – and hope to see you at the Fridge!

We are also looking forward to our Decluttering Workshop which we are running as part of Dundee Women’s Festival.

This is an annual two weeks’ worth of events run in the Dundee and Angus area to span International Women’s Day on 8th March, a day that is celebrated all over the world to recognise women’s rights, their qualities and their achievements.

How’s this for a tagline?

“We all make a difference whether we intend to or not.  Let’s make our difference count!”

We always find such inspiration and encouragement working with other groups, so we would really urge you to find out more about what Zero Waste Scotland and Dundee Women’s Festival are doing.  We’re sure you’ll find something there to inform, interest or please you.

We’ll be writing about both of them in our forthcoming blogs.  You have read our blogs, haven’t you?

We are also planning another collaboration, this time with other local projects to highlight the circular economy.  This should be a great day, very informative but also a lot of fun – for us as well as for our visitors.  Again, keep an eye out for more information once we have all the details confirmed.

Before we get on to our What’s On section, could we just take this chance to mention our current fundraiser?  If you follow us on social media, you will know that we are asking for your help to raise funds to keep the Dundee West End Community Fridge open from April onwards.

If you believe this is an important project that is worth keeping open, please consider supporting us.
